Sembra che il nuovo anno si stia aprendo ..."nel nome della rosa": ho ricevuto infatti varie commissioni su questo tema, che ho cercato di realizzare in modo sempre un po' diverso.
Ecco quindi due pendenti appena terminati: il primo - "Rosa antica" - riprende un modello di qualche tempo fa, la variante consiste nel colore del filo di base, che qui è color rame antichizzato. Ho usato filo non tarnish, martellato e piegato secondo un disegno di ispirazione liberty, e su questa base ho fatto sbocciare una rosa di pasta polimerica e delle foglie sfumate. Come complemento ho scelto una perla di agata tinta in sfumature di rosa.
Il secondo pendente, "Dainty rose", interpreta lo stesso tema su una base in filo argentato e martellato con un diverso disegno; analoghi l'ispirazione liberty e l'accordo di colori per la rosa e le foglie in pasta polimerica.
Recently, I was asked to make several works, all with the rose's theme. Here are two new pendants made with a similar inspiration, but with some distinctive elements for each one. The first, that I called "Rosa antica" , has a copper wire structure, modeled iaccording an Art Nouveau design and slightly hammered; the rose and bud, with leaves are made of polymer clay , enhanced with metallic powders and completed by an agate barrel bead.
The second pendant is "Dainty rose", and it is quite similar to the first, but the Art Nouveau design of the wire is rather differing and it's made of silver plated wire. A polymer clay rose with its leaves, blooms on the metallic stem.
